Ltd. (JHPL), a subsidiary of Jaiprakash Industries Ltd. (JIL) has setup
300 MW Baspa-II Hydro-Electric project, a run of the river scheme, located
at River Baspa in District Kinnaur of Himachal Pradesh,in private Sector on
Build,Own and Operate basis, which has come into full commercial production
in June, 2003. |

| Completion Cost and
Funding of the Project: |
| The project cost has
appraised by ICICI Bank Ltd. (ICICI), the Lead Institution, at Rs. 1612
crores including margin money of Rs. 16.12 crores. The financing of the
project, based on Debt-Equity ratio of 70:30, is as below: |
